He told me his name was James Terry, a Lieutenant General in the Army. I have given him money every month and he knows all about my financial accounts. I am now homeless and don't know what to do. What steps can I take to address this situation?

As an independent contractor who was verbally asked to become a partner in an auction company, I was to receive 1/3 of all profits from auctions and storage container rentals. After being excluded from the business during the pandemic, I was not compensated for the last two auctions I was contracted to perform. Can I pursue a breach of contract lawsuit for the 1/3 of the monies I should have earned from these auctions?
