The auto shop returned my car with multiple problems: nicks in paint, leak into car, window won't go down all the way, and vibration at 65 mph. They wanted me to give it back right away at the end of July, but since it is a convertible, I told the owner that I would bring it in in September. I also held $3200 back on payment. He has already received $11,000. I emailed him last week on the 19th and 23rd saying I wanted to drop it off on the day after Labor Day for one week to be repaired. No response. The second email said if there was no response by yesterday, I was to assume he did not want to complete the job. I am sending a certified letter today to him stating about the emails and that I am getting the rest of my repairs done elsewhere with the remaining funds. My concern is when he sees my name, he won't sign for the letter. Any advice would be appreciated.
