The Longview, WA public utility company is threatening to turn off our utilities because they claim I provided the wrong Social Security number when opening the account, and now they are demanding proof of my identity to allow me to reside in the dwelling. I have explained the situation to a supervisor named Sandy, but she insists on turning off the power regardless of my payment history and health concerns. What can be done to resolve this issue?

My roommate, who is male, choked me in my room. I had to fight him off and he had scratch marks on his chest. I called my mom, who came and called the police and EMTs when I told her I was having soreness in my neck and throat. The police came and charged me with simple assault and him with aggravated assault. Why was I charged?

I am from Florissant, MO, and after a divorce, I moved there, bought a big house, and lost my job after twenty years. I took up drinking due to depression and received three DWIs, two of which were settled. My family intervened and sent me to CA for help. After 5 months and $40,000, I began to care about life again and remarried. My third DWI was in 2004, and I made restitution with the state of MO. Now, the municipality of Florissant tells me I have to go back, get a $500 bond, and wait for a court date to plead. I have a full-time job and so does my wife. Is there a time limitation on this, and can I get my life back together without having to return to MO?

I had a DUI blood test taken, and my court date is in the first week of September. I called the courts to get the results of the blood alcohol test, but they said there's no record in their system and suggested I call back with the ticket number. I haven't called back, hoping it was lost in the system. What happens if, on the court date, they don't call my name or I'm not on the list? Is there any chance of dismissal if they track it down?
