I am looking to appeal the suspension of my financial aid award from my university due to poor grades caused by emotional stress from being fired from a campus job during my freshman year, while I was on medication for anxiety/depression. I have a question about some money I inherited. I am currently on disability for a mental handicap I developed after a series of mini strokes. I am on SSDI. I live in Ohio, and I paid the inheritance tax on the entire estate. My problem is I have to transfer a CD from a joint account to my account. The amount is 100K. Will I be taxed in Ohio and what am I allowed to do with this money on SSDI?
