I was issued a ticket for allegedly being parked in a prohibited area - Fire Lane at a Wal-Mart. The problem is I was never parked. I was waiting on my wife in a parking spot till she came out. I then went to pick her up and instead of blocking traffic, I moved over out of the way of traffic. I never put the vehicle in park. Can they write a ticket in Texas on private property, and if I fight it, would Wal-Mart have to appear?

Exposure to mold in my apartment has caused nausea and headaches, and the landlord has not fixed the problem. The Health Department advised me to get an inspector, and a city inspector found 114 problems in the building. How can I break my lease legally due to this mold problem?

Can someone appeal a civil judgment for eviction in Virginia, and does an immediate writ of possession mean the sheriff comes to evict the same day? Is there not some statutory timeframe before a posting of eviction, or does immediate mean the same day?
