Was staying at the Westin Hotel in Edmonton. On Wednesday when I arrived had my van valet parked. When I went to check out on Saturday asked the valet service to bring around my van, it wasn't there. I paid 250.00 night for the room and 25.50 a night to park. They parked my van in their lot outside around the back of the hotel. (I thought valet parking was a secure, underground parking) There were no security cameras or monitoring. They held the keys for my vehicle for those 4 days as everything I needed was within walking distance. I was wondering if I have the option to sue the Westin Hotel for the loss of my vehicle, the contents of approximately 2000.00 and the distress and time spent travelling, renting vehicles, etc. to get home 7 hours away, and once home having to switch rentals for insurance, etc. Is this worth pursuing?

I am being pursued by a collection agency for a hospital bill I owe. I am resentful because I see others receiving free services while I work and pay taxes. What is the likely outcome if I continue to resist payment, and what advice do you have for me?

My brother was involved in a criminal case where he was the victim of a severe beating and was later arrested due to his background. We hired a lawyer who took our money and claimed to be representing him, but it turned out he was also representing the other parties involved in the attack. Is this legal, and is there anything we can do about it?
