We are a UK-based LLP, Smarcomms Services LLP, with most of our customers in the US. A US-based company, NetConnect Digital Agency Inc, has disputed over $4,000 worth of payments to us and gone silent. We want to take legal action against this company. Can anyone other than the owner request property deeds, and can someone use these deeds to try and take ownership of the property or change something on it to do something illegal?

Jarrod Stacey, owner of Nature Calls Plumbing in Clarksville, TN, started replacing our main water line on August 17, 2022. He has been dishonest and unprofessional, repeatedly stating that a check for reimbursement of fees for services not rendered and parts not used is in the mail. I paid $843 for a water meter yoke that was not installed and $2000 for a one-day rental of an excavator. The invoice total was $875. Initially, Mr. Stacey quoted a reimbursement of $1000, but I believe it should be closer to $2000. What steps can I take to resolve this issue, and is it necessary to involve a lawyer?
