We need to get our daughter released from a mental hospital before they send her to another facility. She had an episode during a major event due to lack of sleep and proper nutrition, leading to involuntary admission. Her doctor now says she is ready to come home and is taking her medication. Why are we concerned about her potential transfer to another facility, and what legal steps can we take to ensure her release?

Can you assist with Maryland law references and past cases as I prepare my summary of complaint for a pre-trial hearing/arbitration?

I am in a situation regarding child support. My partner agreed to not seek child support if I provide $2500 monthly for our child's expenses. This amount seems excessive given that I will still be present in the child's life. How should I approach this, especially considering that I make less than my partner?

I am scheduled to have lipedema liposuction and plastic surgery in a week and have paid $50K upfront, which is non-refundable according to the practice's policy. However, I have lost confidence in my surgeon due to feedback from other patients and concerns about the cost and procedure. Is there a way to get my money refunded, and what are the laws in California regarding refunds for elective surgeries?

Someone who was fired from my work for stealing from me and admitted to it because of hate towards me, has made false police reports and safe sport reports against me. There was also an attempt to tamper with my professional membership account. Is this enough to file a harassment and defamation lawsuit?

In medical malpractice, if a patient certified as a disabled dependent adult is harmed by proven battery and they die, does the cap on MICRA get trebled? I know there is a statute where awards for harms are trebled if the harm was done to an Elder or Dependent Adult, is this also true in Medical Malpractice?
