We recently discovered that I owe the firm a significant amount due to discrepancies in insurance premium payments. The firm has been paying more for my policy than I have been contributing, and now I am being asked to repay the difference. However, some shareholders who also owe money are not being asked to repay. What is the law regarding this, and should I hire a lawyer?

I recently bought a used car from a private owner for my girlfriend, but when trying to transfer the title to her name, the DMV informed us that the title we have is not current. The current title was transferred to a different state, and the seller is unaware of this. What can be done to resolve this issue quickly and efficiently?

In my subdivision, there are CCRs (Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions). All of my neighbors have made additions to their homes without written approval from the architectural committee, and I built a 10'x12' outbuilding in my backyard. The new homeowners association president told me I need approval, which I agreed to seek. I provided a plot map with specifications to the architectural committee, but they told me I need board approval to proceed. I feel they are singling me out for written approvals when no one else has them. The architectural committee also says the roof pitch of my outbuilding must match my house's 6/12 pitch, which I feel is unfair since other neighbors have different roof pitches without issue. What are my legal rights and steps to take when approaching the board?

I was arrested as a minor and am now 26 years old, having served 7 years in the military. I am applying for a police department job and they ask about convictions in background checks. Since I was a minor at the time of the arrest, does this still apply to me as being convicted?
