I am a US service member who returned from deployment to find that my storage company auctioned off my unit without a court order due to non-payment, which was lost in the mail from the Army post office. I filed a restraining order against my abusive partner who has made threats and is not capable of taking care of our two children. I have full custody and no visitation rights for him. I accidentally called him while the restraining order was in place. Should I continue with the restraining order, and if I were to stop it, could he potentially get split custody even if I can prove he's not capable of taking care of the kids?
