My friend and I got into some trouble in Florida and our lawyer is asking us to get character references for the district attorney to prove that we are good people. I am not going to tell these people that I got into trouble because I deal with them on a professional level. If I told them I needed them for school and my lawyer used them, could they call these people or use them in court? I only want them for the district attorney's office and not into evidence!

I got a ticket for driving on the wrong side of the road (VC21650) in California. I was making a left turn at 4am on a two-lane residential street, saw no cars or headlights, and proceeded to turn into my lane. A police car with its headlights off was on the left side of the street, and I was pulled over 4 blocks later. My registration was expired, and I couldn't find my insurance card. I was found guilty in a Trial By Written Declaration (TBWD) and now have a Trial De Novo (TDN) to go to court. How do I fight the driving on the wrong side of the road charge, and what are the chances I can win this and get some of my bail money back?
