I had an LLC company in Texas and owe a $7,000 debt. I'm currently earning $17.50 per hour and have no funds for a lawyer. The creditor's lawyer claims I'm personally liable for the debt because I once tried to pay it personally. Am I personally liable since the debt was through the LLC company? If I'm liable and have no assets, am I still at risk?

A bank leased a building in a small shopping mall, which it used as a branch office. With six months left on the lease, the bank vacated the building. Mall management took no action to rent the building after the bank moved out. Although several prospective tenants inquired about renting, none of them were willing to pay as much as the bank had been paying. The mall wanted to rent at the same rate. Therefore, because the mall had no tenant at all for six months, it decided to sue the bank. Please answer whether or not you believe that the mall would win its suit against the bank. Include reasons to support your position.

Parents signed over their home to all three of us (sisters). They are still living (and are "tenants for life" of the home. My mom wants to remove the one child (my sister) from the deed on the house. How do we do this? (We are not in contact with this sister.)

I was accused of shoplifting at K-Mart, detained, and later received a civil demand letter for $357.99, even though the item was only $7.99. I signed a document stating I would not sue K-Mart and could be held liable civilly for the act. Is this accurate, and what could happen if I don't pay?
