A young adult has developed painful, reddish-purple, golf ball-sized lumps on the back of the head, near the scalp, and behind the ear. The lumps have increased in number and there are also swollen anterior cervical lymph nodes. The individual has been treated with a sulfonamide antibiotic but the condition has not improved. What could be the diagnosis and what further steps should be taken?

I've been experiencing severe acute seroconversion symptoms, including thrush, insomnia, weakness, and neuropathy, for the last 7 weeks since having sex with an HIV-positive male on March 23rd. My tests are still negative, but I'm getting sicker every day. The only test I haven't had yet is a CD4. What should I do next?

I have a baseball-sized area on my leg that is hot, hard, and itches. It may be bulging slightly and has a throbbing pain. I'm not sure if it's red, but a friend says it is. I've had it for over two weeks and it's starting to hurt more each day. What could this be and what should I do?
