I have POTS and I’ve been having numbness in my left arm for about 40 minutes now. Do you think it’s just a pinched nerve or my vessels contracting? I don’t have any other side effects besides sharp chest pain every now and then, but it only lasts for a second. I am 18 years old, female, hypertensive, and have no history of kidney stones or pain radiating from loin to groin. I haven’t done any heavy exercise or experienced an injury, and the numbness doesn’t hurt or get worse with movement.

My leg ultrasounds and d dimer a week ago were negative. My d dimer yesterday was undetectable but I was on heparin. My right side of chest hurts when I cough etc but my oxygen is 99%. Is it safe to say pulmonary embolism is ruled out?

I was at a red cross blood drive donating blood. The worker who was in training took my temperature with an oral thermometer. She went to put the plastic cover on but I'm not sure it grabbed. When she went to dispose of the cover, it did make a pop sound but I'm not sure if it always does that even without the cover on. I did not see the cover in the trash. I'm worried now. What possible health concerns should I look out for if there was no cover on the thermometer?

I think I have strep throat. I have a sore throat with white stuff in the back of my throat, body aches, a rash resembling hundreds of mosquito bites on both legs, and difficulty swallowing. I was in contact with a roommate who had strep throat five days ago. How can I diagnose and manage this condition, and how long could I be contagious?

I have edema in my arm that has been concerning me for about 3 days. I am 65 years old and recovering from a stroke. I am currently staying with my son and daughter-in-law temporarily and do not have a personal doctor. What can I do to manage the edema and where can I seek medical attention if needed?
