My son is prone to inner ear infections and has had tubes in the past. He recently experienced fever when lying down but was fine during the day. Today, he wants to sleep and has fevers when he does, but no fever when he is up. He eats without issue but has no energy. Besides the fever, he has no cough or chills, and his breathing is normal. He had bronchitis two years ago and is prone to inner ear infections. What could be causing this and what should I do?

I have had a runny/stuffy nose for the past 10 days, followed by a severe cough 5 days ago. The cough worsens at night and when exposed to cold air, and it interferes with my ability to talk or operate normally. I tested negative for COVID-19. What is my current condition/diagnosis, and what can I do to help myself?

I am nervous about HIV due to swollen lymph nodes in my neck. I had unprotected sex with someone on PrEP almost 3 months ago, which was homosexual and with an unknown contact. I tested for HIV using a 4th generation test, which was negative. What else could be causing my swollen lymph nodes, and what symptoms should I watch out for?

I’m feeling anxious and my blood sugar is higher than normal. I am a type 2 diabetic woman, on my period, and I’ve had a cold on and off for a little over a week. My sugars have been higher than I’d like for a bit now (low to mid teens), but stable for all of that. My fasting today was a 14.6, but I did a post-lunch check (1 hour), and got a 17, which is unusual for me. I’m currently using Janimet (50 mg) for diabetes, Advair 250 for asthma (well-controlled), synthroid for thyroid issues (well-controlled), and I took a Tylenol Complete night-time at about 3 am to help with my cold (congested). How are you feeling with this current blood sugar, and is this service covered by OHIP?
