I am a 69-year-old female with cold-like symptoms, a hacking cough, and a slight fever for the last 3-4 days. I went to a walk-in clinic for a COVID test and was prescribed Doxycycline. I am also on blood pressure and thyroid medications. I am concerned about the side effects and effectiveness of Doxycycline given my symptoms and medical history, which includes a history of pneumonia.
