I was prescribed 875MG of Amoxicillin and 5 tablets of 20MG Prednisone for strep throat. I held off on the Prednisone but noticed my tonsils swelling again with white spots. Is it okay to start taking the Prednisone now, halfway through the Amoxicillin course? Also, are there any interactions with Vyvanse, which I take for ADHD, and what side effects should I expect?

I am 79 years old, in good health, and have recently had swollen feet. The swelling occurs daily, is exacerbated by air travel, and extends up my calf. I wear compression socks, which normally control the swelling, but it becomes more pronounced during air travel. My ankles are not painful or tender, but the swelling is noticeable when pressed. I take no prescription drugs and have no underlying conditions, except for inherited high cholesterol. What are the possible medical causes for my swollen feet and what are my options?
