How painful is herpes prodromal, and would I experience this 6 days after initial infection? I am worried that I may have contracted it, however I do not have any other symptoms than a numbing sensation when I sit and sometimes a burning sensation in my legs but it is very mild. I am concerned that my anxiety may be getting the best of me. I have heard that you can get it in your thighs and that is potentially where it can be contracted. I have experienced no other symptoms except the urgency to urinate. I have had protected sex with someone and the status of their herpes is unknown however they were a sex worker so it is safe to say that they have herpes. I would have to experience pain in my genitalia first and then it would transition to my thighs? I am male, which I am not sure if that makes a difference. I have only experienced the burning in my thighs and I have some small bumps that have been looked at by a doctor that she said were hair bumps. What would the sequence of events be, mainly from a timeline standpoint, I also am curious as to how painful these symptoms would be, as well as testing time frames to determine if these symptoms are herpes. 3-5 days after exposure to the virus I would experience some significant pain in my genitals? I believe I came into contact with the virus last Sunday (today is Saturday) so 6 days ago, I felt the symptoms almost immediately the next day but this was only after doing internet research and noticing my penis was slightly swollen (I looked that up and it seemed to potentially be from trauma). I would just like to know if I came into contact with the disease, when I could see the initial symptoms, my likelihood of contracting the virus, and when I can be accurately tested for those symptoms via blood work. It seems like based on what I have described I do not have it, mainly because my primary symptoms are burning in my thighs, numbness, and tingling in my feet. I did read that this is a VERY common symptom however you are saying it is certainly not and doesn’t seem to be herpes. What would be the one thing I should be looking out for in regards to if I infact have contracted the virus? Okay. Thank you, * * lesions will not be small bumps correct? They will be very very painful for touch, and to walk around correct? I apologize for all the questions. They won’t feel like normal hair bumps or anything else? I am a black male so it is difficult to determine if the rash is red or not, would the red rash come simultaneously with the white bumps? Additionally I an not sure if you can help with this but since I am having anxiety about this is it possible that I have developed hypersensitivity?

I have severe facet synovitis (from MRI) and have been experiencing worsening pain for about 5 months, especially during physical activities like packing and moving items for home renovation. I have MCTD and type 2 diabetes, which is well controlled. I currently take tramadol for neuropathy pain and cymbalta and gabapentin at night. I want to know if this condition will go away on its own with rest and if it will continue to worsen.

I recently had unprotected sex and the next day I noticed small reddish white bumps on the bottom of my penis. I’m not sure if these are herpes or warts. Can you help?

I have cardiac vascular disease with stents placed in my LAD and circumflex. I've been coughing occasionally for two months, which can happen when bending over. Is this related to my cardiac condition, and should I be concerned?
