I am a 34-year-old male who was experiencing symptoms of low thyroid, such as constant tiredness, low morning temperature, and a low resting heart rate. I started taking desiccated thyroid three weeks ago and feel much better now. My temperature and heart rate have normalized, and I no longer need naps. My TSH is now 0.05, and my free T4 is 2.21. Should I continue with the desiccated thyroid, and is there any reason to switch to Synthroid?
