I had the flu and was vomiting, but haven't vomited for 2 days. I have a sore lower back on the right side of my spine that is painful to the touch and makes it difficult to reach for things. I have dermatomyositis, myopathy, and fibromyalgia, but this pain is different. I have taken muscle relaxers, but they haven't helped. How long have you had the pain? What seems to make the pain better or worse? Is there anything else in your medical history the doctor should know?

I had a bad stomach flu a few weeks ago which triggered a diverticulitis attack. My doctor prescribed cipro/metro, and I'm now taking culturel and focusing on pre and probiotics. However, I've been experiencing hot flashes all day every day since I got sick. I never had hot flashes before, and I'm confused about why this is happening now.

My wife had a sinus infection and was prescribed Amoxycillin. She has been taking it since Friday and it has been effective, but it messes with her stomach. Can she take probiotics like Acidophilis, yogurt, or Kombucha? Would those interfere with the antibiotics in the first day or two?
