I am a 52-year-old woman who had cryoablation for typical atrial flutter and RF ablation for atypical atrial flutter, along with an ASD repair and an enlarged right atria and leaky tricuspid valve. Two weeks after the procedure, I went back into atrial flutter, and my doctor wants to put me on Tikosyn. I am more afraid of the drug and the 3-day hospital stay than the ablation. Is Tikosyn worth the risks, and is it still possible that the ablation will be successful if I get back into rhythm?
