I am a type 1 diabetic. I accidentally took a double dose of Lantus (40 units at 5:00 pm and another 40 units at 1:00 am). What should I do to avoid low blood sugar from this double dosing?

I can feel my pulse beating hard in my ankle/lower calf without touching it. It feels like it’s twitching. It’s very uncomfortable. Is this normal? I tried icing it, but that hasn’t worked so far. It’s just in my right leg. I am 27 and female. I do have some sciatic pain on the right side and have had numbness and tingling in the affected calf and foot recently. I’ve also had some cramping in that calf. It’s been about a week, but the pulse issue started earlier this evening. No history of physical exertion, but I am driving a lot more and use that leg to drive. No medications. No swelling.

I have a normal thyroid TSH, T3, and T4 blood test. I also have a solid hypoechoic nodule with calcifications on ultrasound, which is moderately suspicious (TR4) and not highly suspicious (TR5). I have a family history of thyroid cancer. Why would the ultrasound guidelines not recommend a FNA biopsy if the nodule is solid and less than 1.0 to 1.5 cm, especially given my family history?

My husband has something in his eye that he can't feel but is causing redness and discomfort, especially in sunlight. You can see a dot at the edge of the cornea. How long has the redness been present? Do you have any other symptoms like cough, fever, or shortness of breath? Is there anything else in your medical history that the doctor should know?

Three weeks ago, I had a strong pain in my left side chest that occurred only when I moved or slept on my left side. The pain has since weakened and now appears only near my heart area, especially while sitting or lying on my left side. I don't feel the pain while working or moving, and it seems to worsen after periods of inactivity. What could be causing this pain and what should I do about it?

I have been on the pill (Sprintec) for almost a year and this month I missed 3 pills during the 2nd week of the active pills and have been spotting for 7 days. I continued taking the rest of the pills and will start a new pack, skipping the placebo week, right after this is done, as per my doctor's advice. However, today is my 8th day of light spotting and I am a little concerned. Has the spotting been stable or getting worse? Is it constant or does it flare up? What's the start and end date of your last period? Have you dealt with spotting before? Anything else in your medical history you think the Doctor should know?
