I had an upper respiratory viral illness about 4 weeks ago and my low grade fever has never returned to normal. Other symptoms include a headache, fatigue, and a persistent cough (both productive and non-productive) that gets better when lying down. I was treated for H Pylori about 6 weeks ago. I had lymphoma 17 years ago and have had no recurrences. What could be the cause of the fever?

I can hear my pulse or my heart beating in my ears, especially at night when I lay down to sleep. Sometimes it beats so hard that my ears hurt.
