I am experiencing severe pain emanating from my neck region up the back of my head, which is relieved only when lying flat on my back. I have tried painkillers and anti-inflammatories with minimal relief. I have a history of chiropractic treatment around the neck region but never had pain deferment into my head. Neck rotation is good, but direct downward movement of my chin causes pain down the back. What could this be, and what can I do for relief?

My elderly mother, 88, broke 2 ribs in a fall and is in a lot of pain. She is currently receiving extra strength Tylenol and lidocaine patches during the day, but the nursing home is hesitant to give her opioids due to potential confusion and unsteadiness. What other pain management options are available, and could tramadol be a suitable alternative?

I had a pneumonia shot in January of this year. Since then, I have had pneumonia four times. I just got out of the hospital yesterday with that diagnosis. What can cause such frequent episodes? I have psoriatic arthritis and fibromyalgia but no other autoimmune disorders. Thanks in advance.
