I occasionally experience discomfort in my lower right side towards the back, which is associated with bowel irregularity. This happens every 4 or 5 months and lasts for a few days. I tend to have bowel movements every other day, but if I get knocked off my schedule, I may go several days without going to the bathroom. I had diarrhea yesterday after not having gone for a few days, and now the pain is back. I am a healthy weight, eat lots of live foods, and don’t smoke or drink. Is this a worrisome symptom or just due to bowel irritation? I have never had blood in my stool or any other concerning symptoms.
