I am worried I have lung mets. I have had a cough for 4 weeks now. My husband and son both had pneumonia during that time and are better, but I had a lung x-ray which was negative for pneumonia, lung cancer, and TB. However, I've been told that lung x-rays don't always show lung cancer, especially if it's in the middle. I started with hoarseness and then a cough, which turned loose and is now hugely productive, something I've never experienced before. I coughed up yellowish stuff first, took doxycycline for 10 days, and now I'm coughing up lots of pure white stuff. I don't want a chest scan. How likely do you think it is that this is lung mets?

Is there Zika in Thailand? If someone gets Zika, can she get pregnant afterwards? What are the symptoms of Zika, and how is it tested? Can a blood test detect Zika if it was acquired in the last month, and can it confirm a missed infection?

I have been taking Cymbalta for a month, starting at 30mg and now at 60mg. I experience side effects like feeling spaced out, tired, and lack of concentration, which are also symptoms of my depression. I'm concerned these side effects are from the medication and not improving after 5 weeks. Should I continue taking Cymbalta, and if not, how should I taper off, and are there other antidepressants with fewer side effects that you recommend?

I have an ear infection and have been taking Amoxicillin 500mg (2x twice a day for 10 days) for five days now. My ear is still plugged due to fluid in the middle ear, which is proving very difficult to live with. Will the ear eventually clear by itself? Is there anything I can do (like using heat) to speed up the process?

I woke up with severe chest pain that feels like burning. This has happened before, usually in the morning, and drinking water makes it go away every time. I have no shortness of breath, high cholesterol, and no history of heart disease. What could be causing this and is it serious?
