I am a 35-year-old man who has had a potential exposure to HIV 14 days ago. While I will get tested, I am waiting for the 18-day window period to be able to get a finger prick test. My only symptoms at the moment (which started about 5 days ago) include a mildly sore throat (dull, constant ache next to the windpipe and sensitive to touch) and a bit of a stiff neck and upper back. I have no other symptoms such as fever, headache, rash, swollen lymph nodes, mouth ulcers, or other muscle or joint pain. My question is if my symptoms are likely to be HIV symptoms.

I've recently done three HIV tests, two at 21 days and one at 34 days, all negative. However, I have had swollen lymph nodes in my neck and groin, which are slowly decreasing. Today, I observed pain and swelling near my pelvis hip area, which I assume is another swollen lymph node. What could be the cause of this, and what can I do to stop it?
