I feel sick with symptoms of stomach flu, including fever, diarrhea, and an inability to eat without feeling like vomiting. I'm currently in the USA on a temporary visit and do not have insurance, making medical visits expensive. What can I do to manage my symptoms and when should I seek medical attention?

Yesterday my right hand went a little numb, and this morning it traveled to my elbow. I figured it was just a migraine cause I am used to those. But this has lasted a day and a half. The numbness is mostly in the whole hand, but the index and middle fingers have the most numbness. I haven't taken any medication for it today. I haven't seen a doctor about the numbness yet, but I had a shoulder surgery last November and was thinking I might have a pinched nerve in the shoulder or something. I also have asthma and recently my father found out he has bicuspid. What could be causing the numbness and what should I do?

I have a direct inguinal hernia that I've had for 8 years. I've consulted multiple surgeons who all advised I could leave it untreated until it becomes bothersome, with a near 0% chance of strangulation. However, I can no longer push the hernia back in, though it doesn't cause pain. Should I be concerned about the hernia progressing, and is it still safe to delay surgery?
