I am a healthy 37-year-old female with thyroid disease, taking Synthroid and Loestrin 24FE birth control. Since November 2010, I have been experiencing sulfur burps followed by flu-like symptoms, including stomach pain, vomiting, and diarrhea about once a month. These symptoms last for 24-48 hours and then I return to normal until the next episode. I have no concurrent medical illnesses and my bloodwork is normal. I cannot pinpoint a specific food trigger and do not believe I am lactose intolerant or have issues with wheat products. What could be causing these symptoms and what should I do next?

I have had vertigo and nystagmus since a middle ear infection, resulting in labyrinthitis and hospitalization. The vertigo stopped for a while but has returned. I am using Hyoscine (Scopoderm) patches and Stemetil as needed. What other treatments could help stop the vertigo, and do my other medications (Voltarol and Pregablin) interfere with my vertigo treatment?

I have a blood discharge in my underwear, and I'm not sure if the blood is from my anus or penis, but I believe it's from my penis. There's also a bad smell coming from my penis. I have an enlarged prostate and I'm taking Coumadin for another problem. I've been experiencing this for several months, about twice a week. My stool seems to be okay, but I have a problem with my urine—if I have the urge to go, I need to get to the bathroom quickly or I'll pee in my underwear. This is when I noticed the blood on my shorts, which is across the front and down. I've noticed dark clumpy blood sometimes. I just came out of heart surgery and had a stint put in three weeks ago, but this was going on before. What could be causing this, and what should I do?

I've been experiencing severe muscle aches and pains diagnosed as polymyalgia. I took prednisone for over a year, and my ESR test is now normal. I was taken off Lipitor and tried Crestor, which worsened the muscle aches. I'm currently taking Zetia and have read it could cause muscle aches. My hands are swollen, and my entire body is weaker and sore. What could be causing these symptoms, and what tests should I consider?

Does depression weigh in on a decision on whether to implant a Spinal Stimulator trial? I have 4 recommendations from 2 of my Surgeons, 1 from an Independent Medical Evaluator, and 1 from a Psychologist that says I suffer from depression from the back injury, but also recommends the SPS. The Doctor I saw to receive the trial denied the trial because of the depression. It makes no sense to me because the pain is the main reason for the depression, if the SPS can give relief, I feel it would also relieve the depression.
