I had hip replacement surgery on May 7. I walked well initially, but 8 weeks post-op, I'm using a walker and cane due to pain. I've had 2 rounds of antibiotics and oral steroids. I received a phone call from my doctor today saying that I showed positive for HSV 2 at 1.79. How likely is it that that can be a false-positive? I have never had any symptoms and this is the first time I've been tested for herpes.

I have had the same partner for almost 2 years and the last 4 months, within minutes after intercourse, he develops a bump (not in the same area every time) that itches and takes a week or less to go away. Why is this all the sudden happening? I’ve been tested and came back fine after my pap. I don’t get anything or have any discomfort, but even with a condom, if my fluids touch his balls or his skin around his private area, he develops something.
