I had open heart bypass surgery on May 14, 2015, but only the main central artery was fixed. I experienced extreme shortness of breath on days 7 and 8 post-surgery, and despite many tests, no explanation was found. I went home on day 9 still without a diagnosis. I received home health care for 30 days and underwent pulmonary tests with no explanation found. I am currently taking cardiac rehab and have no breathing issues, but I experienced extreme shortness of breath after carrying a 15 lb watermelon into the house. What could be causing this?
