I had the flu two weeks ago and now I have a fever, body aches, chills, nausea, and chest pain. I'm confused about what could be happening. How long have you had the pain, and what seems to make the pain better or worse? Do you have any other medical history the doctor should know about?

Given the half-life of Tamiflu is 6-10 hours and it takes 4 hours to peak, if you take the worst case (6 hours), it looks like this: 4 hours--at peak, 10 hours--1/2 left, 16 hours--1/4 left, 22 hours--1/8 left, 24 hours--take another capsule, but it will take 4 hours to peak. After 10 hours or certainly after 16, there isn't much left to work with. It's probably why on the non-prophylactic dose they have you take it twice a day. Now, obviously it works pretty well prophylactically, despite this, because of the trials. But since they never tested H2N3 with it, we don't know. I want to believe it'll be okay, but with the H2N3 being more virulent and dividing faster, do you think that when a person takes that second pill, it can kill off around 14 hours of virus? I figure that when there's 14 hours left, the tamiflu is at 1/4 strength, and probably with the H3N2, the virus won't be stopped for that period of time. The question is whether in the 10 hours after taking the 2nd capsule--that is enough to kill off 14 hours of growth?

Are you covered under Unitedhealthcare? My wife has diarrhea and vomiting, and my daughter has had this for 4 days and has been to the doctor. I need to be sure this is covered under Unitedhealthcare.

I am a 76-year-old female who had chest pain radiating to the lower jaw in 2014, leading to a heart catheterization with a stent in the right coronary artery. There was also blockage in two other vessels, and a second stent was placed in 2015. Despite no heart damage, I experience shortness of breath (SOB) with any activity. My heart was fine according to an echo, but my doctor only discusses another catheterization. My family has a history of heart issues, but I do not have COPD, diabetes, or other medical problems. What could be causing my shortness of breath, and what tests should I consider?

I experienced sudden vision loss and memory loss during a seminar, followed by speaking in gibberish. My husband drove me home, and I went straight to bed without any memory of the events. I am taking Prozac, Wellbutrin, a prescription cough syrup, and a zpack. I also have a history of vertigo. What could be causing these symptoms, and what should I do next?

Is it normal for a 25-year-old to have swollen ankles and feet after standing for 8 or more hours? My son, who is a waiter and has had this issue since his teenage years, also experiences bouts of tachycardia and occasional chest pain. What could be causing this and should he be concerned about heart or liver issues?
