I woke up with a chest full of mucus, a burning sensation, and a sore throat. I coughed up some yellow/brown mucus. I have had sinus infections in the past year but nothing serious. I am trying to determine if there are certain over-the-counter medications I should try or if I need an antibiotic for an early sinus infection, assuming that’s what I am dealing with. Additionally, my 3-year-old and 1-year-old have had runny noses for the past 3-4 days, with the 3-year-old having a groggy voice and slight coughs. Should I be concerned about them?

My mother-in-law, who is 90 years old, has been suffering from severe migraines since early December, exacerbating her existing pains including neuropathy, hip, and leg pain.
