I have a high-pitched ringing in my ears that has been constant and louder for about two weeks. I am 56 years old, in good health, and not on any medications. I have no history of hypertension, dizziness, or recent colds. The ringing started intermittently and now seems constant. Can this be related to a broken wisdom tooth or my work environment as an elementary school teacher?

I usually take Pepcid before eating anything that could cause heartburn, but are there newer medicines that might work better? I am not interested in taking omeprazole on a daily basis.

My blood pressure is 143/90, but my pulse is 65. Should I take metoprolol with my pulse being that low already? Additionally, I have an upper motor neuron disease - hereditary spastic paraplegia, diagnosed through DNA testing. Could Wellbutrin, which I have been taking for almost 4 weeks, be making my spasticity worse? This last week, my spasticity and tightness have been significantly worse.
