I have a history of bacterial vaginosis and tried sitting in an apple cider vinegar bath to help, but now I am very swollen inside. It does not hurt but feels slightly uncomfortable. How can I remedy this and quickly?

My wife (60) is experiencing abdominal pain, cramping, and diarrhea. She is also running a low-grade fever. Any suggestions? Pepto Bismol doesn't seem to help. She has had the fever for 2 days and is taking OTC Advil. She is fairly healthy overall and not on any prescriptions.
