I have a shooting pain in my foot. How can I stop it? I've had the pain for about 3 hours and have only taken Tylenol. I have not seen a doctor about the pain, and I have diabetic neuropathy.

Can the HSV-1 virus be transferred if someone with a cold sore wipes their mouth with their hand, then immediately shakes your hand, and 5 minutes later your hands touch a straw that touched your lips? How likely would you get HSV-1 if the person doesn’t have active lesions and hasn’t for 8 months?

My left eyelid has been twitching over the last few days. It’s mostly the eyelid, but sometimes just under the eye as well. My eye does not close when it happens. I also feel occasional twitches in other parts of my body, but nothing repetitive like my eye. I drink coffee, have work stress, but nothing major or more than usual. I am otherwise healthy, don’t smoke or drink, have a healthy BMI, female, 38 years old. I take Lexapro 15mg for anxiety and 10 Zyrtec for allergies. Does this sound worrisome to you?

My 11-month-old baby has a croup-like cough and some difficulty breathing. He is happy and playing, but I can see some skin retraction between his ribs when he breathes. His temperature is 98 degrees. Should I take him to urgent care?

I have an internal hemorrhoid and was given a suppository which provided relief, but now I have a burning sensation between my butt crack. I've tried a sitz bath with no relief. What should I do?
