I have small white raised areas on my tongue that are painful when eating. There are about 15 or so small raised bumps. The pain started 2 to 3 days ago and is more of an ache. I am 90 years old, diagnosed with pneumonia a week ago, and on Levofloxacin 750 mg for 7 days. I also take Tylenol 3 for pain, Metformin for type 2 diabetes, medication for prostate gland, Eliquis, and Lisinopril. What could these white areas on my tongue be, and is there any over-the-counter medication I can use for relief?

I have not been able to defecate after my operation on my neck artery to clean it out (last Wed Mar 23 at Providence Hosp Tarzana). Can you recommend some course of action? I have been drinking a lot of water and I have tried a few laxative pills and also put down a number of Magnesium supplement pills over the last 3 days. Additionally, I am in my 90th year and have been taking PHRNAZOPYRENE AND CIPROFLOXACIN HCL since the operation. At the time of the operation, I also developed a high frequency of urination, and my abdomen feels very hard to the touch.
