asked

I have an itchy scalp, itchy dry ears, and red itchy skin around my anus. During the night, they all itch together. Are they all the same condition or different symptoms with different causes? (I am 59 years old.)

I am a 21-year-old healthy female. Recently, I have noticed that the bone at the top of my right leg, near the crease between my leg and genitals, is very sore and difficult to move. I also experience lower abdominal pain on the right side and find it impossible to have sexual intercourse due to the pain. Could this just be a pulled muscle?

I have had a runny nose, sore throat, and extreme tiredness since Sunday. I think I may have had a low fever, although I didn't take it. I initially thought it was allergies and took Zyrtec, which didn't help. I've also been taking Sudafed and Theraflu, which have helped with congestion. This morning, I woke up with red, blotchy spots that look like hives on my right side, just above my right hip. Should I see a doctor, and am I contagious? I haven't been to work this week, but I'm concerned about my husband and daughter.

I had cancer in my left breast (invasive ductal carcinoma, tumor grade 8/9) and was treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by a partial mastectomy, sentinel node biopsies, additional margin tissue removal, and a right breast reduction. Post-surgery, no residual invasive or in-situ carcinoma was found, and greater margins than 1.0 were taken. Will I still need chemotherapy after surgery, or just radiation? What are the treatment options for this situation?
