My mother's knees have swollen up considerably today. She didn't injure them and they don't hurt. She has diabetes, emphysema, low thyroid, and has been on insulin for about a year. The swelling just showed up out of nowhere in the last several hours. One knee is worse than the other, and she felt a knot under one knee but has no pain. How old is she? How large is the swelling? Are both knees affected? Did she take any medicine?

Over the last week, I have had pain in my right side, between ribs and waist, which radiates through my lower back and slightly around my lower abdomen. The pain is more achy than stabbing and worse in the morning. It also hurts with a deep breath and is sore to the touch. I am a 39-year-old male with panhypopituitarism and am concerned about a kidney issue. My urine is dark, and my stool is very dark almost black, which I thought was due to constipation but hasn’t improved with Miralax. What could be causing this pain, and what should I do?

I just developed sore redness around my belly button. It hurts and is getting more painful. I have no appendix, had my gallbladder out, and have lupus. Could it be related to something I ate or my chronic pancreatitis? What should I do for the redness and pain?
