I have been experiencing gastrointestinal issues, including cold chills, cold skin, trembling, heavy aching in the abdomen, dizziness, loss of sensation, and prickly pain in my body, especially after eating. I have also noticed weight loss and symptoms similar to GERD. I have been diagnosed with a nerve problem by a specialist, but I am concerned about potential permanent nerve damage, gastroparesis, slow motility, or other conditions like hypothyroidism or anemia. What could be causing these symptoms, and what further tests or treatments should I consider?

My son was diagnosed with influenza a week and a half ago. He has been doing much better the last 3-4 days; but today he woke up with a fever of 101.8 and horrible ear pain. I am assuming an ear infection, because when he was little every time he got sick it would turn into an ear infection.

I am 31 years old. After having intercourse with my boyfriend, I started bleeding a little bit and experienced slight cramps. This is the second time this has happened. I had my period at the end of last month. Why is this happening?

My son hurt his ankle playing football. He has no medication and reports that his whole foot is hurting, especially when moved outwards or pushed upwards. He has not seen a doctor yet and has no relevant medical history. Should I take him to the emergency room or just use ice and ibuprofen?

I discovered I have a complete calcified granuloma in my lung and have a negative Quantiferon test. Do I need treatment, and does a negative Quantiferon mean I have never been exposed to TB bacteria?

I recently experienced diarrhea, which I linked to a specific cause and stopped. Afterward, I had constipation with hard, small pellets and noticed decreased urine flow and lower abdominal pain after urination. A doctor suspected fecal impaction, but a gastroenterologist's rectal exam found no feces. The gastroenterologist prescribed a prebiotic and lactulose syrup and suggested a high-fiber diet. My questions are: 1) How can there be an impaction before the rectum with a clean rectum? 2) Is an impaction always accompanied by loose stools or absence of bowel movements? 3) Should I use glycerin suppositories before trying lactulose syrup? 4) What are the risks of a high-fiber diet if there is a potential impaction? 5) Should I request further diagnostic tests?
