I have been experiencing severe hunger pains almost every night for a few weeks, often in my upper middle abdomen and sometimes toward the lower right side. The pain sometimes persists even after eating and is accompanied by chest pain on the right side and occasional feelings of tightness or fullness. I had similar pain last June and a year before that, which was initially thought to be related to my appendix but resolved on its own. What could be causing this and what should I do?
