I have had pressure and intermittent pain in the center of my upper abdomen (just below my sternum) for about 15 hours. For the last approximately 8 hours, there has been intermittent sharp cramps in my lower abdomen for a few seconds at a time, followed by some brief diarrhea. I have tried gas relief and Pepto Bismol, neither of which provides any relief. Pushing my hand flat on my upper abdomen takes away the discomfort but only while I’m pushing. I was able to eat and drink for the beginning of the day, but now I feel hungry but also feel like I’m too full to eat. What could be causing this and what should I do?

I was born in 1968 and had a severe allergic reaction to a tetanus shot as a baby. In 1978, I was given a skin prick test and found to be allergic to the vaccine, but I tolerated 10 small doses over several weeks. It's been 46 years since my last tetanus vaccine, and I recently got a puncture wound. Can I get the emergency tetanus vaccine?
