I am worried that I have a fungal sinus infection due to immune compromise and overuse of antibiotics. I have experienced mild hoarseness, postnasal drip, and changes in nasal discharge (from yellow and bloody to clear and then to green and bloody). I have consulted an ENT who suggested a CT scan, but I am hesitant due to concerns about radiation exposure and the need for multiple specialist consultations. Do I really need a CT scan, and do you think I have a mild fungal infection?

Does a productive chest cough usually rumble in the chest, as opposed to a sinus cough which wouldn't? If it isn't rumbling in the chest, is it probably not productive mets? Here's what happened: I had a cough that was somewhat productive (unusual for me) and a rumble in my chest. Then the cough stopped rolling, started to seem more like a sinus cough and the rumble in the chest went away for about a week. Now, I have a productive cough again today with no persistent rumble in the chest. Does any of this sound like lung mets? I only have one coughing bout per day, am not losing weight, and do not have a bloody cough. What percent chance is this early lung mets? Do people with lung mets usually have more than one coughing bout per day?
