I noticed a soft, painless lump in my anus today. It doesn't bother me, and I have no blood in my stool nor is it painful to go to the restroom. How long have I had the lump? Is it hard or soft? Anything else in my medical history the doctor should know? I was recently diagnosed with gastritis.

I have GERD and IBS, and I'm tapering off a medication containing benzodiazepines. I've been experiencing anxiety, cold feet, slightly high diastolic blood pressure, and bloating. I'm concerned if these symptoms are due to benzodiazepine withdrawal or if they could indicate diabetes, given my previous slightly high blood glucose test result.

My husband has been experiencing severe shortness of breath for the past two months. He had a triple A stent put in this past summer but did not have shortness of breath until recently. He has had bypass surgery in 1996 and now only two vessels are working. He has passed a stress test and a pulmonary function test, but the doctors at Froedtert Hospital have not found a cause for his shortness of breath. Could it be related to his medications, such as atenolol or amiodarone, or could it be anemia? Could it be a psychological response to the stent or angina without pain? Is it possible that his heart is the cause, despite the stress test results?

Feeling a little extra heartburn lately. I've been more stressed this past week, and I think it's related to that. I already take Prevacid 30mg daily. Is it safe to take another pill tonight and again in the morning or is there something else you can recommend?
