I have been taking PPI (proton pump inhibitors) since 2015, and recently, I have been feeling heavy and tired after taking Nexium. I have reduced my PPI intake to 2-3 times a week, but I am concerned about the risks associated with long-term PPI use, such as stroke, heart attack, and kidney failure. Additionally, I have not been able to walk long distances or lift heavy things without feeling out of breath, even though my heart and lungs are fine. What should I do to reduce these risks and manage my symptoms?
