I started taking 12.5mg of Atenolol on Monday afternoon due to heart palpitations, which were likely caused by anxiety. I'm experiencing side effects that are increasing my anxiety and would like to stop the medication. Is it safe to discontinue Atenolol after only a few days of use, especially since I have severe health anxiety and take alprazolam as needed?

My legs feel tired when walking, and I get tired fairly quickly, like after walking one block. I have no other symptoms such as falls, bowel or urine incontinence, back problems, or pain in my legs. I have had normal full blood work, a normal neck MRI, a normal abdominal CT scan six months ago, a normal heart ECG last year, and a normal chest X-ray. What could be causing my leg fatigue?
