I had an exposure involving unprotected anal sex where I was the insertive partner. I started PEP around 4-5 hours post exposure and have been experiencing significant stress and anxiety. I had a negative 4th gen test at day 24. My questions are: 1. Does PEP delay the testing window? 2. Should I finish the 30-day PEP regimen even though the doctor suggested 28 days? 3. Can I take sleep aids like Melatonin or diphenhydramine HCl to help with sleep due to anxiety? 4. How accurate are tests taken at day 27, day 30, and day 32, and can I have peace of mind with a test at day 31 or day 46 post exposure?

I have been experiencing intermittent fever, body pains, neck pain, and a sudden onset of severe throat pain with red specks and white blotches in my throat. I have tried saltwater gargling and Paracetamol, but neither has helped with the throat pain. I am unable to visit a pharmacy or see a doctor until next week. What can I do to alleviate the throat pain and should I consider using the amoxicillin I have at home?
