I have had a chronic intermittent cough for many years, likely due to post nasal drip or upper respiratory issues. I am a 67-year-old female with a history of reflux and AFIB, currently on Diltiazem and Sotalol. My current bout of coughing started in October 2010 and has recently improved after being diagnosed with a sinus infection and treated with Amoxicillin. However, I now have a sore throat, a 'lump in my throat' sensation, difficulty swallowing, and anxiety. I was recently prescribed XZthromicin for a mild ear infection but experienced severe symptoms possibly due to a drug interaction. What should I do next?
