I have had an earache for 7 days, which has been getting worse. I am 59 years old and currently taking other medications. I have no fever, chills, cough, phlegm, or sore throat, but I do have sinus congestion. I am allergic to codeine. What could be causing my earache and what can I do about it?

I have been taking Diamox for 3 years for IIH and recently stopped per my doctor's request. Since stopping, my whole body has swelled, especially my legs, feet, and hands. Could this swelling be an effect of coming off the medication?

Additionally, could experiencing a traumatic event, like the loss of a family member or a car accident, lead to a cardiac event if I were to have a panic attack during these times?
