I have had severe diarrhea and sometimes constipation, irregular periods, always feeling tired, and muscle fatigue for years. Two years ago, a test showed my thyroid was underactive, but a retest a month later was normal. Last week, my blood tests showed abnormal thyroid levels again. I have gained a lot of weight over the last two years and have been trying to lose it, but my weight fluctuates. I have been asked to repeat the blood test in April. Why is my thyroid underactive or not? Last time, I was told it could have been because I had a cold, but this time I was fine except for the symptoms I have been complaining about for the last two years. I am feeling really depressed by the whole thing now.

I just received my lab results and I have an elevated GGTP result of 103. All other labs are normal with the exception of triglycerides which are 213, total cholesterol is 255 with LDL at 138 and HDL at 75. Although I had fasted as directed, I did drink during the World Cup game. Could this be the cause of the GGTP results or should I be concerned, given that everything else was normal?

I have a long history of recurring stress fractures in both femurs, hips, tibias, fibulas, and heels. There is still a bone cyst in my right hip since 2004 that causes pain. My ALP levels are more than 4 times the high normal at the lab we use and have risen over the past year. I have a large amount of bone pain with walking or impact activities. I have had multiple imaging tests confirming the location and size of the cyst, and it hasn't shown significant growth. Could this cyst still cause elevated ALP levels? I follow a high-fiber, low-fat, lower-carb diet, am a non-smoker, and do not drink alcohol or take any medications. Is it worth further investigation, and if so, what test would be best to ask for? Additionally, I still stress fracture quickly when running short distances, which is embarrassing given my past as a soldier. Any advice on how to approach this situation would be appreciated.

I drink about 2 liters of fizzy drink a day, eat take-away at least once a day, and snack on chocolate and sweets in between. I have done this for many years now and I am now 24. I am 6'3" and only weigh 11 stone. I find that if I don't eat/drink all of the above I get stomach ache and feel very tired and sleepy. Is this normal?

I went skiing and my ski boots were too tight, resulting in blisters on the tips of my two big toes. The blisters have burst, and now the tips of my toes are purple. My toenails have turned white, and there are blisters underneath them. There is a foul smell, and when I press down on my toe, white liquid is present. The purple blister is not spreading and is mildly painful, but I can still walk. I am washing my toes several times daily and applying polysporin as advised by a pharmacist. I am currently on vacation. Is it pertinent that I seek medical attention? Is this very serious?
